POMING’s TSG2J Series Variable Voltage Transformer is essentially an auto transformer whose output (terminal) voltage can be adjusted. There are two kinds of core: ring type and column type. The column core is similar to the general transformer, which is made of silicon steel sheet, while the ring core is made of silicon steel strip. In the structure of the toroidal auto-voltage regulator, the winding is wound on the toroidal core with a single layer of insulated copper wire.The surface of the coil part is polished to form a smooth plane, which is contacted by a carbon brush made of copper graphite composite. The carbon brush can rotate and slide on the wire surface by hand wheel, thus changing the output voltage. If the current capacity is greater than 10A, two or more carbon brushes in parallel are used. The self coupling regulator is generally made of self cooling and dry type. In special situations with special capacity or special use environment, it can also be made into oil immersed self cooling type and electric air cooling type, three ring-type single-phase auto-voltage regulators are installed coaxially to form a three-phase auto-voltage regulator.

 

Outstanding Features:

  1. Using high magnetic conductivity oriented straight steel sheet, so the loss is small.
  2. Using mechanical automatic winding, and the turns are even. Each line is straightened and parallel, so the contact surface is flat.
  3. The heat-resistant resin material is used for dipping and curing to make the regulator more heat-resistant.
  4. Use mechanical grinding to make the contact surface smooth as a mirror.
  5. The traditional multi carbon brush design can increase the contact surface of carbon brush, reduce the current borne by each carbon brush, and reduce the temperature rise.
  6. Usinghigh-performance carbon brushes to increase conductivity and eliminate sparks.
  7. Adoptingcopper surface welding to reduce contact resistance and temperature rise.
